Reality Thoughts (Poem)

Dreams and thoughts, then you come back to what reality bought.
No time for one, cause tomorrow may not come.
We are all guilty of some but, maybe not like them.
But there seems no sequel, cause sin has no equal.
And you wonder why people think we are not equal.
Just proves to you that, we are human and we mess up from once and sequel.

Centuries of hatred still roams the streets.
A lot of people cant take the heat, now they get desperate and there attitudes start to sink.
Forgive me, I do have speech through writing and talking about the reality thinking.
Even though much of that old thinking, in my eyes, has died and gone extincted.

Haven't you ever wanted to fly above the highest clouds
Swim in the deepest of waters and adventure everywhere when you were a child?
Maybe that's the excitement when love's quick sand grabs you up for a while.

Hopefully, your trust is the deepest.
No more being the coldest or the weakness.
Take strong hold of its meekness.
And go home always knowing of its greatness.

I wonder what will tomorrow hold for us while I'm...........

siitting here doing some reality thinking.

New Beat called "Hybrid"!!!

I named this beat hybrid because I like to combine the best of both worlds...

I think my approach on this beat was to get a very futuristic sound out of it but still of course give it my on flavor. Love that its soo enrich in emotion with you listen to the hook. Definitely a R&B singer on the hook and intertwining with the main rapper. I think it has a crossover.Although, i think that this could be very suitable for a R&B singer on a solo.

So check it out, leave your comments or opinions, and enjoy!!

"So Special" Beat of the Month (November Edition)

Last week I shared my Inspiration to my music making process, which featured Andy Mckee - Rylynn song off of YouTube. This week is the actually finished project from the song. I sampled it in a way that it still hold its smooth jazzy, r&b feel but, in the way I feel it should be interpreted through the hip-hop way.

This beat is very intense and melodic and the title say it all "So Special"

So check out, leave your comments or opinions on it, and most of all enjoy!

Thanks

Reality (Poem)

I know a lot now, after time as pass

I find fewer things to talk about when life's full of gas

And the prices aren't very affordable when quality is trash

But we bash until the feeling is crashed

And the pieces are over the street waiting for cabs

Intended to bleed through and cause leakage for cash

I rather spend my money on things to scratch my a**

So in fact, the information is well intact

Bundled up like prostitute in a winter cap

The message clearly reads u can try but the words mean shat

And the diseases that spread can just be a mishap

And god is willing to forgive that

So what can i say when, I feel like I just been slapped

That living in the moment was just filling a missing gap

I truly don't know what to do when the whip cracks

Freezing cold with a stiff back

And the feeling moves to the fingers and its too late to leap back

So it seems that

I have regain the power of the nerd or a geek at that

But tomorrow is another day and i got to sip that

To much and i feel woozy from a 5th and a half

I'm regaining power back to the main slab

I gotta keep punching away to there isn't any more scraps

So when my life is over there isn't just a begin and end, its a story, its a rap.

My Inspiration to (BlaqcRain) Music (November Edition)

I wanted to share some of the things that I might get inspiration to make music. Most people do not know that I started off listening to Gospel. That is what my mom listens to so, I had the uplifting type of vibe from that genre of music. I also listen to Jazz, which my dad listens to, and that has very rich bass licks and brass sections. I then floated to R&B and Hip-Hop to derive my own style from the elements that I grew up on.

R&B is my favorite out of the bunch and then Hip-Hop because of its drum patterns and how the track moves.

The song in this video represents the R&B - Jazzy feel. But when i listen to it i feel that i could make it something of my own and I DID!

Later this month I will have my track of the month (sampled from this song) and it will be blogged right here on BlaqcRain.com!!!
So Stay Tuned In!!

This is the song I sampled.

~BlaqcRain~

The artist : Andy Mckee - Rylynn

Five of my favorite videos (November Edition)

Missy Elliot - She's A Bitch

Missy Elliot is still one of my favorite.. Of course her old style.. Especially when she released Supa Dupa Fly..
But this video was very futuristic to me.. the sound of the beat was was crazy.. I think my favorite part of the video is when Missy Elliot and her dancers rise out of the water on the big ass "M" Its the mountain top of the song and the video.

Jay-Z Girls Best Friend (Bluestreak Soundtrack)

This video is crazy... The directors of this video actually study the shapes and cut on diamond to make this video happen.. Any one who saw this video back in the day was amazed by the transition from the outside of the diamond to the inside where Jay-z lays down them verse.

Busta Rhymes - Dangerous

Busta is silly ass dude... man does videos and concepts on his terms.. and some of his earlier ones was a based off a moive.. This was the Last Dragon.. well at least the end of it.. I love it.. everyone knows the famous quote!

Leroy!!!!!!!!!! Am I the meanest Sho Nuff!,, I am I the prettiest, Sho Nuff! Am I the badest, toughest, low do mofo in this town! Sho Nuff!

Aaliyah - More Than A Woman

I love this one because there going in and out of the motorcycle.. the pistons.. the light.. its was crazy.. I didnt realize that all the scene were from different parts from the bike. But after watching it for so long you finally pick up lil things that are in the video. Plus its Aaliyah she was the hottest yo.. everybody wanted to be with her.. and this album was really going to mark her stake in the music business.

112 ft Mase - Love Me

ATL Harlem World ATL.....ATL Harlem World ATL.... 112 Harlem 112..

Ha i love this video.. the all white back drop with the rotating clinders on the back and fore drop.. love this video.. and 112 was the hottest at the time and so was MAse as the feature. Dont forget about the Vespa scooter riding on the rotations... I remember trying to create that maddness... lol its was fun

Old Things (Poem)

Tonight i was running threw my packed things... cleaning up.
When i ran across some things i didn't want.
It was the old things that reminded me of you
Your name alone just made me sick to my gut.

When i started reading.. it all came back to me.
How much feelings were said in a package i had wrapped up and sent right back to me.
It brought me back where i thought you cared for me.
And I would have done anything to keep you right next to me.
Showed you the right way of a gentlemen.... you see.

I would have brought you flowers on a day that didn't matter.
But you broke my heart, on the day that i thought, to you really mattered.
And I put more thought into it than putting red roses on a platter.

It has taken me this long to forget about these old things.......

Long late night conversations,

A night of intimacy,
And three colored Lily's and a used chain.

Damn

Love Can Be A Cruel Thing.

The Ohio Hip-Hop Awards Weekend

I have to say, as my first Ohio Hip-Hop Awards ceremony it was a great experience. Saw a lot of artist perform (before and after the awards). A lot of love was shown from the fans to the Ohio artists. I have to definitely give props out to Da Kreek and Machine Gun Kelly for really putting it down on the stage at the OHHA's they got a lot of love and the performance was sick for all those who missed it.

Also shout out to Cy-Harp who has shown me a lot things this summer and really preparing me for what is to come for next year. Look out for the " Free Sex" Campaign which will be underway soon. The "Free Sex" campaign will promote "abstinence" and also promote safe sex alternatives. because we know that kids are having sex these days; therefore we have to be aware of that and teach them more than just abstinence.

Here are some of the picture from the Ohio Hip-Hop Awards!

From the Start.....(Poem)

I'll never forget what you did to me.
You played me real good like you was in to me.
Gave me the whole schhbil and that was the end of thee.

It all started when i showed you how to keep ya shoulders up.
I said you was beautiful,
Ya head started to come up.

Soon enough it was what i spoke bra.

And we all know how that goes
They get real bold
Acting like there shit don't stank,
Like Here girl---- here's the cards-------- I"ll FOLD!
Before you try to play me I'm gone.
Cause this man needs a heart and a back bone.
Standing right beside me, a lady that's grown.
One rocking a brain in her dome.

Got some intelligence but hides it with elegance.

Full of ideas, cause you know its going to work out in the end.
A girl that can bring you in and help you think clearly and put you right back in.

But still have your back in the end.....

PERIOD

Top 5 Beats/Songs That Influence Me As Producer (September Edition)

#5 (Timbaland & Magoo - Luv 2 Luv Ya)

#4 (Jay-Z -  Can I Live)

#3 (Maxwell - Cococure)

#2 (Eric Benet' - That's Just My Way) -

#1 (D'Angelo - Send It On)
This track right here is number one in my eyes because its very bass heavy and very jazz like. I was raised on Gospel (Mom) & Jazz (Dad)  when I was a youngster and i branched off to R&B and then Hip-Hop. Plus this is one of the first albums I actually bought with my own money and believe when I say I wore this CD out. So much that it got a burn ring around the disk and was unplayable. Even then D'Angleo was getting into his prime time of his career. !Come Back D'Angleo! For making babies sake! lol

In the End (Poem)

In the end, only the beginning is in the end.
Where the dreams are start and everything begins to mend
Even if the trend is what is in, those of us know where it all began.
The first time you fell in love was so clean and so pure and, in the end it become so cruel.
To reach the end, you must visit the the beginning.
Where, things were so simple and decisions didn't put a dent in you mine like dimple.

In the beginning, all you needed was your brain and utensils.
Maybe some books and a pencil.
Even a pen and piece a paper that was crue-shall
As long as your open , things weren't very hard to soak in.
But in the end it doesn't matter.
Because all the impurities in this world makes them shatter.
Full of the lust instead love only seems to gather.,
I give my heart, only to receive the worst and, STILL wishing what I fathomed.
When i think about the beginning and how that was the only thing that mattered.
All my dreams are still thoughts but, in the end everything falls apart and, my life was filled with laughter.

What "BlaqcRain" mean to me?

So the the name "BlaqcRain" is something that has stuck with me since I was a sophomore in high school. It was when the black tear drop tattoos started to be a controversial issue in the media. I was interested in it because, I recognize this particular tattoo in gangster movies and also hip-hop videos.
(The black teardrop tattoo symbolizes a murder done by that person.)

Knowing that I wanted to make it something of my own. Something that would symbolize me and what I believed in. Most of you know that I am heavily in to music, whether its creating it, giving my suggestions, writing, or listening to great music period.

So, the "teardrop" I broke it down to what I thought it looked like, which was rain.
And rain represents my cool, calming personality and my ability to flow with people easily. My ability to make people feel comfortable around me and also being able to build a trust with those people.

But "black", was the twist of the whole name. Black represented murder but not killing someone but something. Having the rage of a murderer but channeling it into something that can change the world. Something that I could loose all control on and I was free to express my true feelings!

M U S I C!!! M U S I C!!!! M U S I C!!!

Any time I was making, or listening to music I had a different attitude. I was in a creative murderous mood and I felt every piano, every kick drum and every bass that was meant to thump all around you.
It was like traveling in and out of a outer body experience and it was amazing.

Ever since then, BlaqcRain (once spelled BlackRain) as intertwined its self around my life and music forever.
